Nestled between Starved Rock state park and Catlin park and only a few miles from Matthieson park is Starved Rock Honey Farm a small family owned Apiary in Ottawa IL.

Owners/Beekeepers Merlin and Susan Calhoun started beekeeping in 2008. What started as a small bee yard with two hives has doubled in size every year. For 2012 we are hoping to add a new bee yard and increase to 25 hives.

Our honey is mostly Clover/wildflower honey and is only harvested once a year. We feel that by harvesting only once a year it is more helpful to our customers that buy if to help with their allergies.

If you would like Starved Rock Honey Farm to pollinate your orchard or farm please contact us.
